2011 Day of Hope and Leadership Was A HUGE Success!!!

On behalf of Dan Carter and the entire Hope Team – thank you to everyone who came to yesterday’s Day of Hope and Leadership and made it such a wonderful success.  Our speakers were incredible as always!  Thank you to all of our sponsors – without your support, this day would not be possible.  Thank you to our volunteers and of course, our guests.  Your enthusiasm and participation makes the day come to life.  We hope to see everyone back next year for the 5th Annual Day of Hope and Leadership!

Free online fundraising tool to help with the $20 Challenge

I used a free online widget by Paypal Labs to facilitate secure online collections for my $20 challenge on my blog which makes fundraising easy.

  • it connects up to paypal which allows people to pay by paypal or credit card securely online
  • donors get recognized immediately in the scrolling banner
  • visitors can take a copy of the widget and put it on their own site as well, to generate even more revenue
  • contributing sites get recognition as well

INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING PAYPAL WIDGET ON YOUR WEBSITE

  1. Go to https://giving.paypallabs.com/authenticate/create_campaign
  2. Sign in with your PayPal account
  3. Enter all the details (name, choose colours, select image, etc.)
  4. Paste the code it gives you into your site
