2012 Day of Hope and Leadership
Day of Hope and Leadership – Tuesday, October 2, 2012
October 2012 we held the fifth annual DAY OF HOPE AND LEADERSHIP™ proudly presented by RBC Royal Bank. We hosted over 260 guests!
The event was a huge success and raised over $55,000 for the Hope Centre of Learning and Oshawa Community Health Centre.
This professional and personal development day was created to lead businesses and the community forward and this year’s event surpassed all expectations! Guests were fully engaged in this interactive event. The day began with Dan Carter , our opening keynote speaker, who outlined the 5 principles of authenticity.
The Day of Hope and Leadership was created to help equip, develop and motivate leaders to meet the challenges that many sectors face today. Through this interactive day, attendees had the opportunity to be inspired by world class speakers and receive practical tools and ideas that can be easily adapted to each attendee’s environment. Each attendee was challenged to work within a team from different sectors helping to create and share new and innovative ideas and contacts.
In our search for this year’s theme, we had discovered that the topic of authenticity has been one of the most talked about, written about and debated topics – but what is authenticity? How can it impact your professional life? How important is authenticity? Does it have a role in our business, families and relationships? Is authenticity idealistic or realistic? The day lead to uncovering the answers to these questions and many more. A lot of thought-provoking discussion throughout the day occurred.
