The Day of Hope and Leadership
Our Mission Statement:
To challenge leaders, inspire communities and change lives.
The Day of Hope and Leadership is a unique personal, professional and community development day. It was created to help equip, develop and motivate leaders to meet the challenges that many of us face today. Through this interactive day, attendees have the opportunity to be inspired by world class speakers and receive practical tools and ideas that can be easily adapted to each attendee’s environment.
The theme for 2016’s Day of Hope and Leadership was: What’s Your Next Bold Step
We heard from many of you who attended that you were inspired and motivated to move forward. Take a moment and drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org to tell us what bold step you took!
Our Hope Team speakers for 2016 were: Dan Carter, Joe Stokes, Doug Schneider, Denise Marek, and Cate Collins, all of whom are outstanding leaders in their fields of leadership expertise. All of our professional speakers volunteer their time for this incredible event. The day will be facilitated by Noel Coppins
This year, we were also lucky to have Batsirai Chada, share his own watershed moment in taking that next bold step.
Each year, the Hope Team shares practical insights and tools to help you and your team develop strong leadership skills in all facets of your life. This is an excellent team building and development opportunity. For only $1999, your organization can send 10 staff members for a day of leadership development and training like no other. Individual tickets are only $225.
There is a strong philanthropic focus also; proceeds raised from the Day of Hope and Leadership are directed towards community development programs. The annual event in Durham Region supports the many free programs run in the Hope Centre of Learning and Carea Community Health Centre.
Each year we will be incorporating a youth component into the Day of Hope and Leadership. Our Hope Team believes strongly that our youth are our future and that we are responsible for helping them develop into the great leaders that we know they can be. Our goal this year is to have 40 youth attend the Day of Hope and Leadership as our guests. If you would like to help us reach this goal, please see our Sponsorship Information page.
